History
The Playboy Casino was the 7th casino constructed in Atlantic City and it was ordered shutdown shortly after, in 1984, after The Gaming Commission denied Hugh Hefner a Permanent Gambling License. The temporary license expired and The Playboy Casino was forced to close its doors permanently in 1984 which marked the end of the casino era for Hugh Hefner and Playboy. These Original Orange Playboy Casino Cards, were taken from the Playboy Casino after it was ordered closed and were set aside for nearly 30 years, until we were able to purchase them from an ex-employee who worked at the Playboy Casino in 1984. Only 24 decks were saved by this employee which make these decks, along with their history, very collectable and very hard to come by.
